Do the card machines work if the internet goes down temporarily?
All our card machines have an "offline mode," which allows transactions to be stored until the internet connection is restored. In combination with a dedicated 4G SIM card, which can switch to another network, or satellite internet, you can be assured that payments can always be processed.
How much does it cost to rent a card machine and are there any extra fees? Since every event is different, we need some additional information to provide a quote. Contact us via WhatsApp, email, or the form to receive an offer within a day! At Tactile, we always aim to provide pricing that includes all costs for using the service.
Are the card machines compatible with all payment methods? Yes, the card machines support almost all payment methods, including debit cards, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), and contactless payments with your phone (Apple Pay and Google Pay). Additionally, a hybrid payment method is also possible, where both debit cards and cashless payment methods, such as a personal NFC wristband or anonymous NFC payment card, can be used.
Do I need to arrange my own SIM card or internet connection?
No, mobile card machines come standard with a SIM card that provides a reliable 4G connection. You can also use your own network. For large events or remote locations, we offer satellite internet (Starlink) in combination with 4G internet for a very reliable connection.
How many card machines do I need for my event?
This depends on the expected number of visitors, the layout of the venue, and whether visitors are likely to be thirsty or hungry. For small events, one machine is often enough, but for larger events, we recommend multiple machines to limit or prevent lines. As a guideline, we suggest one machine per 200-400 visitors.
Are there transaction fees?
Yes, there is a small transaction fee per payment. We can provide a competitive offer once you request a quote.
